Harriet Batstone is a London-based textile artist working with knitting and felt. She completed an MFA in Textiles at Parsons School of Design, New York, following a BA in Fine Art Painting from Camberwell College of Arts. Her practice is led by colour, which she uses as an intuitive and emotional language.

Working across large-scale wet felting, hand knitting, and intarsia machine knitting, Batstone approaches making without predetermined palettes or sketches, allowing form, texture, and colour relationships to emerge through slow, process-led methods. Her work considers landscape as atmosphere, memory, and movement, exploring how textiles can create moments of pause, recognition, and emotional connection through material and touch.
